I have heard a lot about this application and was happy to download it and give it a try. What happened,, 34Mb was installed in my Libraries and not any application was found any where. No documentation or nothing.
Going to "The developers site" directed me to a download page. No documentation or anything.
How do you expect that anybody could use this application???

The developer site referenced by Versiontracker is of the individual who puts together this particular Asterisk package compiled for OS X; it's not the the main Asterisk developer himself. Asterisk is a UNIX application and does not currently have a GUI interface, though there is a beta version of Asterisk (1.4) which will provide alternatives to the command line.As an open source project, documentation is having a hard time keeping up with the fast pace of development, but let me refer you to this site for support:

While waiting for Asterisk's own native graphical interface, you could try this alternative from a third party:
http://www.trixbox.org/
Another great location for information is here:

Good luck to you -- and don't give up on this very sophisticated and powerful product.
