Mac users! Use Camino!
There's NO need to use Firefox on the Mac when there is Camino. Only people I know who use Firefox on the Mac are Windows converts.

I Also disagree. The lack of feature enhancing extensions for Camino makes it a very basic and "thin" web browser.I can think of at least for add-ons for Firefox I could never do without.

I could never get Camino to download files without download errors. I reported this but never got a fix. Firefox at least allows me to download.Monday, October 23 2006 @ 04:20 PM PDT

This reviewer is absolutely, totally, and unconditionally Correct. Firefox and its continuous "upgrades" has become a nuisance because of the alleged upgrades losing extensions and themes.Firefox originators must learn that when you are one of the real BIG BOYS like Micrososft, IBM, Toyota etc. that your size requires that you not make mistakes, and that you act like your items, good or bad, are the best and satisfactory.
Firefox has got to get one fix, and stick with it.
In the meantime, I use Camino and also Opera 8.54 as default browsers.
But for sure and dependable use with Mac 10,4.8, there's just none better than Camino-----AND BACKED UP BY CAMINLCON for toolbar variety. Try Molokini.
Can't go wrong with Camino; Firefox has become a nuisance.
Don't overlook Opera!

The extensions problems are that of the extension CREATORS, not the Firefox developers. The extensions' developers need to keep up.

Camino is a far better browser than the x-platform, mongrel Firefox. Efficient, clean and faultless, Camino has plenty of add-ons which you can fond at http://pimpmycamino.com/ for example. There's nothing of substance that you can do on Firefox that can't be done better on Camino.Monday, October 23 2006 @ 08:34 PM PDT

There is a need to use Firefox on the Mac if you need specialized extensions, like the Web Developer extension. If Camino supported extensions, then I'd have no need for Firefox.Reply to This
