I contacted LQ Graphics directly after my most recent posting here and this time received a detailed response from the company. It does appear that they responded to my emails and that the responses were filtered out by my ISP (though they did not appear in my spam filter.) It also appears that many of the bugs I mentioned have been addressed in updates and that the company is working on redoing its user manual.
It's unfortunate that the folks at LQ Graphics seems hostile to any critical postings and that they view the fact that their email responses to me were filtered out by my ISP as MY problem rather than theirs, or, most fairly, an unfortunate fact of internet life these days.
Still, I give them points for following through this time and correcting the problem. I haven't had the opportunity to check out the latest version, but if the bugs are fixed I would give the program high rating. Having used iMovie recently instead of PTM, I can say iMovie certainly has some faults of its own and is much more limited in what it can do, though IMO, as of the v. 4.0 of PTM, iMovie handles sound tracks better than PTM. In fact, the last time I used PTM I used it for the photos, imported into iMovie and then used iMovie for the sound track.
I'll update my rating for PTM after I have a chance to use the latest version, but consider my comments on lack of tech support retracted.
