This is relayed to ACL being enabled on your computer. pax is not compatible with ACL on 10.4.8. Best solution is to file a bug report against this on Apple ADC site.Wednesday, February 07 2007 @ 12:21 AM PST

FollowUp, i get a lot of these message in the system.log as seen with the Console application when i try to build a package which buidl perfectly before;Oct 17 15:54:04 imacstefaan /bin/pax: open on /tmp/pax.md.nMRO: Cannot allocate memory
