Used Product For: Over One Year

While I may pay for the upgrade after I have a chance to look it over, I think it is sleezy of SmileOnMyMac to not give any warning that this is NOT a free upgrade. I installed the new version on my computer (over the old version) before I knew that I couldn't use it except as a demo (unless I pay). Now I have to dig out my old version and reinstall it to have a fully working version of PDFPen.

Absolutely right!! I just fell for the same crumby trick. I no longer smile on Smile on My Mac.

The Read Me file, customer mailing, and the "check for update" text all indicate that PDFpen(Pro) 3.X is a paid upgrade for users who purchased prior to July 1, 2006.
