Instead of installing another application like this app, you can use MPlayer to play FLV Files.

MPlayer (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/27163) plays almost any movie format.

Use MPlayer - Wojtek Wilk

MPlayer is cool, I especially appreciate its ability to play in background. Still it has another disadvantage - MPlayer, unlike flvThing, sometimes loses synchronization between audio and video while playing flash movies. Well, at least on my machine (G4 1.25G, Panther) - I didn't test in elsewhere.
