For me, deleting Airfoil's preference file, ~/Library/Preferences/com.rogueamoeba.Airfoil.plist, stopped the stuttering problem in version 2.0.4. Now it's working fine here.

An easier fix is to go into Airfoil Preferences and change Speaker Synchronization and Playback from Total Synchronization to Pure Playback. I don’t know how this will effect multiple Airport Expresses but for one unit it was the fix for me.Friday, October 06 2006 @ 11:35 AM PDT
