order problems

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Recommend Product: YES

I ordered an upgrade online, but 5 hours later I hadn't received the email with download instructions and a license key. I called PGP support and while I was talking to the woman, noticed that my receipt was for the Windows version, not Mac OS X. I'm not sure how that happened. In any case, the she cancelled my original order and I placed a new online upgrade order for the Mac OS X version. I still haven't received an email message with download instructions and a license key, however. I'm starting to wonder if Comcast might be blocking their mail.

order problems - bratdaddy

An alternative might be to browse VT for the open source offerings, such as GnuPgp. I've been using them for a couple of years without any trouble. The installs are a little more involved but well within the ability of anyone willing to RTM.

order problems - R. Lynn Rardin

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not ready to give up on PGP quite yet. Still no email from them this morning, so I called again and talked to 2 different people in the online store department and one person in support and they concluded that their ecommerce system is struggling under the load of all of the orders for the new version that were placed yesterday. They said that my order looks fine, but that their system hasn't gotten around to generating a license key for me. They hope the system will do so by this afternoon.
