Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

Finally a nice catalog app. Hope the future interface looks more like iPhoto and iTunes.

Some hopes:

1. A smaller font size for catalog items (like iTunes)

2. A flat list with metadata and folder/catalog as a column. customizable columns for each smart catalog

3. combine metadata and item info (more useful for music files but maybe others too)

4. more metadata for music like bit rate, kind (aac, mp3, apple lossless), track number, disc number, genre, comment, …

5. option to show remote volumes above catalogs on left with quick button to import

6. a global catalog that shows all items from all catalogs

7. option-click smart catalog to edit (like in iTunes 7)

8. searching smart catalogs. a search now reverts back to searching the library

looks promising!!

one more thing :)

adding notes/comments to items (and batch editing them)

also forgot to mention the important composer field for music

I think it'd be nicer if catalogs and smart catalogs weren't separated. And smart catalogs might be easier to use if they're listed above catalogs. With hundreds of catalogs, smart ones are quicker to find at the top.
