I'd like to be able to try Edgies for a few days during work to see if I find it to be useful. However, Edgies is Nagware. I don't want to get into a big debate about how most people (such as me) detest Nagware and thereby immediately delete any "trial" software in this category. My point is merely that I wish Edgies didn't pop up a registration reminder AND come to the front application window.
No thanks.

I Purchase Shareware - sundoggy
I agree. I purchase a ton of shareware - - little guys, and big ones like Omni's major aps. However, if I can't try it out nag-free at least for a couple weeks, I am not even going to bother to download this. Which is sad, because the rating is high, and it looks very useful with an unobtrusive UI. Too bad for you Mr. Developer, you have probably put off many potential paying customers.Sunday, October 01 2006 @ 06:40 PM PDT
Nagware? No thanks. - mnishikata
I am the developer of this program.Althgout I have changed how the dialogue appears in the v1.0.3, I didn't even think that one dialogue every three hours is extremely annoying and it makes users delete it within an hour. Just one click anywhere on the screen makes you back to your work. And users can take full advantages of the application except the dialogue. I thought that was a fair offer.
(In many applications, users must buy a license without knowing how it slows down when adding many data becasue of demo restrictions.)

I Purchase Shareware - DonSL777
I should have clarified in my above post that I am NOT a shareware pirate. There are lots of great shareware applications which I could have used forever and not purchased a license. However, I choose to support developers that write great shareware so that they can update the applications and create other software. Just a few examples of many shareware applications for which I've bought a license include GraphicConverter, iGlasses, and Synergy.Reply to This
