No problems with installation.
Start up the program, choose sound format and file save location, and go! Also excellent for recording streamed audio where congestion or limited bandwidth results in silent breaks while the buffer is being refilled: WireTap Pro has an option to eliminate silence from the recording. This option is especially flexible in that the level of sound volume below which the recording pauses is adjustable (to compensate for background noise, etc.).
I do not have an Intel-based Mac, so I cannot comment on that situation, but I am sure that an Intel version is in the works.
Last, but not least, I used this app often in its "unregistered" state for over a year (with most options besides basic AIFF recording unavailable), and I felt that the company was being extremely generous in their trial use policy.
