Existing users, 
I have two Macs and wanted to use this for connecting one to the other. This program will only let a Mac connect to a Windows PC running Remote Desktop Protocol (basically XP Pro or 2003 I believe).
I've still yet to find a decent VNC program for connecting from a Mac to a Mac.

all-around good VNC apps - Marty.Skinner
I have no complaints with my combination of VNC software on the Mac. I use it all the time!For the Mac client I use Chicken of the VNC. It has saved settings, stored passwords (if you want to use them) and a couple of clicks later I'm viewing/controlling the remote system. For server software on my Mac I use OSXvnc. It can be setup as a startup item so it's always running and waiting for incoming connections from clients or you can just run it on-demand. OSXvnc is bundled as a GUI application but you can also run it from the terminal prompt if you so desire.
This combination of software allows me to connect outward or inward from any mix of Mac, PC or *NIX servers. Of course VNC software has to be on the other systems too to allow VNC to operate but it doesn't have to be exactly the same software package everywhere.
Both these Mac-based packages can be obtained here in VersionTracker. PC-based VNC probably can be as well in the Windows section.

NOT for connecting TO Macs - Chunky1--2008
I use VNC viewer to connect to both macs and PC's only pain is you cannot save connections. Apart from that it works ok.I have also got Apple Remote Desktop and I have to say for most things you are better with VNC.
