Sloppy copy

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

.

Downloaded the new version 3.0.1 and at least
it now installs OK - but install is all it does.
It does not copy any text from safari into the
application. I tried multiple times and it just
doesn't work.
It still phones home and there is no way
to switch it off in the preferences.

I have a pro Mac and an internet only
iMac and a Powerbook - I am the only user
of them but would have to buy three licenses ?
That ain't right - I wouldn't purchase unless you
have the ability for one single owner to have it
on all their Macs. Not one license, one computer.

The upgrade price is over half of the full price.
Should be less than that - for the developer
jumped from version 2.4 to 3 and no updates in
a year and a half ?

It doesn't crash now but it doesn't work either.
The developer is a smart European, but is more
conscious of his app being pirated than end user
satisfaction or usability.

This is negative minded programming and it shows.

Sloppy copy - stupidFish23

If you want to use your copy on more comuters, there is a group license type available for purchase.

There is a disclaimer included in the installer that explains the "phoning home" and how to disable it if you feel uncomfortable.

If sC 3 does not work for you, please follow these instructions:

1. Quit All shadowClipboard Instances
2. Remove the folder ~/Library/Application Support/shadowClipboard_3
3. Remove the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.stupidfish23.shadowclipboard.plist
4. Start up shadowClipboard 3

The developer seems more concerned with filling his wallet, regardless of his customers.

You aren't the only one miffed about the price upgrade either.

It seems to me that only thing that was on his mind is more $$$$

You don't keep your program's users happy this way. Therefore word of mouth is not there.(Well positive word of mouth anyhow)

Which means low sales over-all.
