RAID not supported

Feedback Type:  Usage Tip

Contributed by: chosenlink Tuesday, September 19 2006 @ 11:38 PM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

I have 4 internal hard drives and am running 3 of them in apples software RAID. I could not install the firmware from OS on the RAID disks (Tried 4 or 5 times). I was able to do it on the first try on my single drive. This was the same case for the EFI Firmware.

Has anyone using RAID been able to install this firmware??

RAID not supported - pfeester

Hi,

Is your OSX system installed on the RAID, or is it just for data storage?

RAID not supported - Daniel Chow

i have a macpro with 4 drives -- on set up as stripe and the other mirror. boot drive is stripe, mirror is the backup. the firmware installation went through without complications. perhaps it's something else other than what you're suspecting.
