Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: YES

I take it the developer has given up on this product? That stinks, because this has been one of my personal favorites. The only virtual desktop program that works the way it should.

Is it time to start looking for a new but less desirable solution?

Based on other comments here you might think it's *long* been time to look for CVDP alternatives. I gave up on CodeTek after waiting too long for "promised" product updates and lack of customer communication.

I moved to Virtue - Ilgaz

Well I agree with your comment, this program is what desktop manager should be, on any OS... Sadly I am not hearing a word from them so I moved to Virtue (search versiontracker)

Check out the web page -- there seems to be a beta coming.

Given Up? Yes I have - junquemailbox

I emailed their tech support twice in the past year and never heard back from them either time. I recently upgraded to an Intel Mac and the virtual desktop software is totally broken on that platform. This was $40 wasted.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FOR AN INTEL MAC and do not expect any tech support from this company.

I have used this software for a long time, and loved it, based my whole workflow around it. Since I upgraded my desktop, it's stopped working, and the developer, once very responsive to the most minor issue, doesn't answer any emails anymore. I suppose Spaces has taken the wind out of his sails.

Luckily I didn't upgrade my laptop yet, so it still works there - I've considered retro'ing my desktop to a version of OS X where it still works, it's that important to me.

But the complete lack of information from the developer has really turned me off this product. There was no warning that the quicktime upgrade would kill the product (I'd have waited), and there's no update when or if there will be an update.
