Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 6-12 months

Recommend Product: NO

Nobody can answer the question till now, why this app must be that fat. Current version needs 111MB on my disc. Are 100MB of it spyware?!?

I like the GUI that will be generated by UNO, but I don't trust it.

Security proposes and UI Options. - pedrogrilo

You could (and can) investigate it yourself : UNO.app --> right click --> show package contents --> browse the contents --> open them in themepark --> and then post the review...

The answer is simple:
Because Mac OS X resources are full of "air" and UNO has a lot of those resource files (were do you think all the options come from?).
Yes, we could compress them inside the app itself, decompress on the fly and we plan to do it in the future (testing being done), but not without extra (and I mean EXTRA) security/integrity check. We are dealing with very importante (essential, infact) OS files, there is no room for errors here or you could end up with an unbootable system and passing those files through another proccess will need extra security/integrity verification.

So the answer is : for Security proposes and UI Options.

"Spyware.." LOL Thank you for the laugh! :D Feels good at the end of the day! ;)
