with more that 3.5Gb of RAM, which can cause Kernel panics, try this-use Terminal:
*sudo /usr/sbin/nvram bootargs="maxmem=4000"

Tried that on a Mac Pro with 4GB of RAM and it didn't work. I still get Kernel Panics everytime I try to start the WM in Parallel Desktop.Reply to This
