This is the best software for remastering/compression. I like to combine 2-4 DVD's onto one. a huge compression task. I use Toast to create the final DVD with menus, which comes out to be 5-9Gbytes. DVDRemaster is the ONLY program that will compress huge files and produce working output DVD/VideoTS.
If anyone knows how to combine multiple DVD's without the pre-mastering on Toast - ie.. simple title only menus' please advise!

Here's how I do it. MTR first, of course. Then use Hawkeye to extract and save your movies as mpeg 2 files. Drop the mpeg 2's into Toast under Video/DVD-Video, add menus and save as a disc image under File/Save as Disc Image. Mount the disc image on your desktop and double click its icon to reveal the VIDEO_TS folder. Import the VIDEO_TS folder back into Toast (under Video/VIDEO_TS folder), DVDRemaster or DTOX, your choice, and compress to fit on your favorite SL or DL DVD media.Sunday, May 06 2007 @ 02:59 PM PDT
