Crashes when Placing

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

I just installed InDesign 4.0.4 on a new intel 17" iMac -- at first it worked great but now everytime I try to "place" (command d) anything, it crashes. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Entirely remove Suitcase and clean your font database.
