I like the potential this app has. From what the web site said, and from the options I did find, I liked it. I was frustrated with trying another iTunes alarm clock app and finding that it not unmute my computer first! I mute my computer so I don't hear iChat sounds at night. I woke up late today and nearly missed an appointment, and found my computer playing music while muted (and had been for about an hour or two).
Opened iTaf and it asked if I wanted to install the daemon. Not necessary for me, so I said 'no.' Then appeared a window with several buttons. No tooltips, and when I went to the Help menu, I was told that "Help isn't available for iTaf."
Poked around the preferences, found that it supported unmuting the computer when an alarm goes off...so I attempted to set a test alarm, which didn't go off. There is also no AM or PM when setting an alarm, so that might be why...maybe the author felt people didn't need alarms for night, too?
Oh well, I've moved on...found that Alarm Clock (also on VersionTracker) does what I need. And it's free, too...though not open source.
Would be nice if they made their interface more intuitive, or at least provided some documentation as to how things work.
