Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

Some users on Intel Macs who have both Flip4Mac Universal and Flash Beta Universal are seeing the dreaded Quicktime Q with the Question Mark.

Only happening on Intel Macs and only reported by some people.

I have both on my PPC Mac and they live happily together.

Anybody else seeing this issue or on the other hand, any with both on Intel Mac not seeing this issue?

People reporting the issue have noted it on YouTube.com, where all the videos are Flash.

Flash Beta and Flip4Mac Conflict on Intel Macs? - michaelacarroll

I installed this update and now I have to run Safari in Rosetta mode because there must be a conflict between Flash Beta and Flip4Mac. This stinks!

Flash Beta and Flip4Mac Conflict on Intel Macs? - 1farris

I have the Q problem on all internet sites. It started when I upgraded to Quicktime Pro, until then things worked fine. Apple says it is because of the plugins. So I deleted Flip4Mac and Flash, downloaded them and tried again. It helped with Flash. Did not help with Flip4Mac. I then upgraded to Flip4Mac Pro. Still nothing.

I just finished deleting Flip4Mac again and tried to install the freeware program. Still nothing. Any ideas? I miss being able to play the videos. that is how I keep up with the news.

Flash Beta and Flip4Mac Conflict on Intel Macs? - scarlett4

I've had this problem. I'm running OSX v.10.4.10 on a Powerbook with a PowerPC G4. After installing Flip4Mac, all flash applications failed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Interestingly, I also downloaded Netscape and Firefox to test them and ran into the same problem, so it was not just limited to Safari. I'm tried upgrading to Safari 3.0.3, Quicktime player 7.2 (not pro), Flash 9, and Flip4Mac 2.1.2.72.
