I used to use "Missing Sync for Pocket PC" which worked great, but doesn't work with 10.4.
I bought the upgrade to Missing Sync for Windows Mobile. HORRIBLE!
I'm an experienced mac tech, and most beta software is better than this. Constant crashing, and virtually non-functional. I don't even know where to start-- none of the sync functions fully works, after a few DAYS of trial and error, I could get it to intermittently work, but only by individually syncing one item (contacts, tasks, etc.). Even then, the program crashes constantly, often requiring a full reboot before it will run again. GRRRR I'm choked. I'm just about ready to set up an old machine on 10.3 with the old version, then just let it sync to .mac instead.
I have emailed customer support-- so far no reply. If anybody from Mark/Space is reading this, answer my friggin email and fix these bugs!

Worse than Beta - Tweekmee
Sorry to say that the final is horrible... I to am an experienced mac tech... been for over 11 years. I agree with the original post. it is bad. Will not connect, iCal calendars are often missed, takes 5-10 minutes to sync on BT, USB doesn't even work. And, Tech Support Email sent 1 week ago is still un-answered. I went thru the beta on this, and there was 1 beta that was pretty good, but still far from final. They have alot of work to do on this application. Answering there support Emails would be a great start.

I will have to disagree on most of these comments. I've bought missing sync since the early 2.0 release. It worked very well with a few quirks. I emailed the support team via their website and they are pretty prompt. With 2.5.0, I noticed some quirks. some events were missing from my PocketPC after sync. I deleted the event and recreated it before syncing and everything is back to normal.
The annoying thing is still the isync prompt about changing more than 5% of my calendar thingy. What contributes to the 5% is unknown and can't be reviewed... or maybe I don't know how.
Regardless, it's a pretty good piece of software.. although I like the 2.0x releases better... It looks much clunkier now with the online shops and all.

Do not believe the comment from this person. Missing Sync 2.5 works fine. I have a mac w/ OS v10.4.7. This person is either lieing or is incompetent. The program downloads fine from Missing Sync to the Mac. The program syncs to the pocket pc. And, all the functions work. A few quirks exist, but nothing major. The quirks that do exist are workable once you understand them. Please read some of the comments and replies I have posted elsewhere. JL 06.0731 12:29 pm cstReply to This
