If you run Audacity 1.3.0, it will do something to your audio playback system which will cause the Audio Output settings section of the Audio MIDI Setup utility (in the Utilities folder) to disappear and show "Output is not supported". This will prevent you from using Roxio Jam (and possibly other software). This problem is not corrected by a reboot.
If anyone knows how to undo the apparently permanent system damage caused by Audacity, I'd sure like to know!
