I can't convert a 703 x 398 AVI video to anything larger than a 320 x --- file, because:

[1] the program wants integer ratios, and
[2] nothing bigger than 320 seems to be allowed.

And, no, Quicktime doesn't play the AVI correctly. I'll stick with MPlayer and VLC for such larger files.
