This is a great application, whether you're outlining a college paper or writing the next great american novel. The one major missing feature: hierarchical outlining support. This is crucial for creative projects, and since I wanted to use this software to organize a novel, I can't use it until this is added.

Also, documentation could be better.

Missing hierarchical outlining support - Tim H

You're right. Try Scrivener. You'll flip. It has outlining, but also offers the option of a note card metaphor which is outstanding. I've tried them all (at least I think so) including CopyWrtie, Avenir, Ulysses. Scrivener is in a different category, a different universe. I know several writers who've switched to Macs just to start using it. Check out the reviews in VT. Not one below a five.
