of waiting until version 4.0.89,786.991, when it should be at its optimum.
Seriously-this is no good on dial up-even thought I get a fast 56666kbs regularly.

Seriously, it's right there on Google's download page: 128 Kbits/sec minimum Internet connection speed -- 768 Kbits/sec recommended. Upgrade to cable/dsl and then complain about the speed.

The final release, no matter how perfect they make it, will never make your dial-up connection faster. Read the requirements. A dial-up connection will never be able to handle anything close to this. It's not a fault of Google Earth at all; your internet connection is just way way too slow.

Forget ever using this program with dialup. Something this graphical needs a high speed connection.
