I own a copy of Speed Download 3. I went through all the bugs until it worked right. They fixed the biggest bug for me which was when I downloaded some apps like Vuescan, it would just keep downloading one copy after another and never stop. After they fixed that I thought they were way cool. After they came out with version 4 and wanted full price for that, I tried iGetter and their downloads were way faster, so I bought it. Then it turns out that they have that very same bug and refuse to fix it. So I used AppZapper to gut that out from my computer and went back to Speed Download 3. Now every time Speed Download 3 starts, it pops up an alert reading that there is a newer version 4. There is no way to turn that off, so I have to click that every time. Who do you guys think you are. I paid for that version 3 and you have no freakin right to annoy me like that to try and force me to buy it again by going to version 4. I would like to have version 4, but can't afford it right now and REALLY hate being forced into it. YOU SUCK.

Do The Right Thing - freevito
Hey Hockpooh777:Jeez, Dude...lighten up a bit. Considering the following facts...
- Your assumption that you can't turn off the update prompt was incorrect.
- Your assumption that you had to pay full price for the upgrade to v4.x was incorrect.
- The developer took the time to politely reply to your flame with a response that directly addressed your imaginary problems.
C'mon bro'...there's not a person who uses VersionTracker who won't appreciate your doing your part to maintain the integrity of the rating system. Yazsoft doesn't deserve your one-star flamefest, and you know it. We all have bad days. Time to have a good one. It's your turn to do the right thing.

- Uncheck 'Check for updates at startup'...
- Press Save
