I love Eudora. I've usign this app from many years: speed, text based and costumisable interface is factros that are irrenounceables for me.
But I can undenstand the gap. Windows version is 7, Mac version is 6 and only PPC (I have a MacBookPro).
But the only think I can't accept is the fog around the project. No plans, no declaration, no one simply post in Eudora forum that explain what Qualcomm think to do (and when) with Eudora users.
I don't like Mail, and Entourange or Firebird are not so mac oriented for me. But I know that Mailsmith UB is under development, and I love BBEdit. So, when Barebones show me a new way, what I have to do?

While I am very tired of waiting this long to see OS X features incorporated, in all fairness, they have posted a minimal explanation of the status of version 7 for OS X.http://www.eudora.com/betas/Looking_for_Mac_Eudora_7.html
Despite this, I have had to move to a better integrated email
client and unless version 7 is stellar I won't be going back.
