Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: YES

I have used Print Explosion’s previous version for a couple of years and think it’s the best. However, when I bought and installed the latest version (3.0.1.1) and tried to use it, everything seems to work fine except when I click on the graphic icon to bring up their huge file of graphics, it takes approximately a minute and a half, every time I want to look at a graphic. I’ve got a dual processor Mac G5 with a gig and a half of RAM and have NEVER had a problem opening the graphics in the previous version, they’d come right up.

I’ve been on the phone with tech support at least a dozen times and they always tell me that “they’re working on the problem and they’ll have a patch on their website by the end of the week to fix it.” I guess I should ask, “What week?” . . . or maybe, “What year?”

I hate to see all the holidays pass by (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July) and now Labor Day is fast approaching. Maybe I’ll luck out and have it by Christmas. Don’t hold your breath!!

Trouble With Sloooow Graphics - Gambit2

Two things of note:

The v3.0.0.x update is not for our older product Print Explosion 2.0 product. Please see our website at www.novadevelopment.com to order Print Explosion 3.0

The v3.0.2.8 update addresses the issue with the performance of the Insert Graphics dialog. Should be much nicer!

We corrected the issue with the Insert Graphic dialog. It should now be much faster in 3.0.2.8.

Note--3.0.2.8 update is only for Print Explosion 3.0. If you're interested in an update please see our products page for information on ordering the new product.

Trouble With Sloooow Graphics - CameraBob

Another problem, which I’ve reported over the phone SEVERAL TIMES to Nova’s tech support, is that when I try to install the updater (both the last one and the current one) it installs nearly every item but stops the installation with a message which says,

“An error prevented the update from completing.
11500:2,-43 File not found”

It always stops when it’s trying to install the “Info.plist.” So far, no one in the tech support dept has been able to come up with a solution. I’ve contacted Apple Care and they ran several checks on my computer and said it’s running fine so apparently that’s not the problem.

I’m wondering if the original Print Explosion Deluxe version 3.0 DVD I received may have been a lemon. I’m beginning to worry now that I may have to forgo my Christmas card list this year. Bah, humbug!!

Trouble With Sloooow Graphics - rolfdenver

I'm having the same problem. I bought version 3.0 (Get Info says 3.0.0.30 is installed), and when I try to use the updater I get "you do not have sufficient privileges" message - it hangs when installing info.plist. I am an Administrator so I should have sufficient privileges to install anything. What's up, Nova? Please advise. As it is, my 10,000-image iPhoto file is making this otherwise wonderful app as slow as molasses!
