Front Row is great but still very limited. With Sofa Control I can use the Apple Remote to control just about every app I wish. My main use is controlling VLC (which unlike Quicktime supports subtitles) and dashboard for a quick check on my mails, rss, weather, stocks widgets. I like the finder browse function (I can open any video file anywhere in my mac) and it is something that Remote Buddy doesn't offer yet. Furthermore the use of Applescript, makes for great customization. The developer is very responsive and helpful and the price is a bargain. I would have paid more than 20$ for this, but it only costs 10$ and you get lifetime updates. The only "bug" I could find is that you cannot deactivate the screensaver via the remote, but the developer said that this will get fixed in the new version due soon. Highly Recommended.
