This is such a brilliant idea for cataloging media. I keep a folder filled with files of media cataloged by Touvaly, which enables me to use spotlight to find what I want, FAST. Glance up the file hierarchy, and there's the CD-R the item is on.
Touvaly takes a bit more time to catalog a CD-R or DVD-R compared to traditional catalog apps, but for me this pays off, because searching is lightning fast. When I need to find something, I open a finder window, click on my shortcut to the Touvaly folder, and do a search; there's no app to launch, and no clumsy database to slog through.
Unfortunately, Touvaly is now shareware. I've been using a free version, which to my knowledge has no place to enter a registration number. I wouldn't mind paying for such a great app, but $25 is too much for such a simple app. Price it to go at $15, and I'm there.

Fair enough - Central Scrutinizer--2008
I was probably a bit harsh on the price in my review. With further use, I've grown even more attached to Touvaly, and $25 doesn't seem so steep now.I'm having some technical issues with Touvaly, but once resolved I'll write a new review that reflects my reconsideration of the price. In any event, I still think Touvaly is the most ingenious media indexing solution I've ever seen.

Thanks for the review.Touvaly will is in active development, and continual maintenance, along with many other products I write. Since I do this as my job, as opposed to a hobby in my spare time, I must charge for what I do.
However, I'd like to point out that I don't charge upgrade fees for any of my products, and I am always more that willing to accomodate specific feature requests, as always.
