Good idea, implementation could be a little better

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

It's a simple screen saver that shows the current phase of the moon. The only problem with it is the content on the screen doesn't move, which kind of makes it useless if you're looking for something to prevent phosphor burn-in on a CRT display (which is why screen savers were devised in the first place). But if you've got an LCD, then that won't be a problem.

Phosphor burn-in mostly effects monochrome displays, so screen savers have been mostly about aesthetics for a very long time. However, LCD displays can get a kind of burn-in as well... they are not necessarily immune.

You have the option to have the moon moving around the screen.

Simple and OK screensaver.
