The new bittorrent client kinda sucks. It doesn't display how much you have uploaded anywhere, so you have no idea what your ratio is. If you try to shut down your computer, bittorrent will not end on its own and will generate errors bringing up dr. watson. However it still gets the torrents for you and is not bloated. I recommend staying with an older version unless you need one of the new features. I am thinking of switching to azureus so that I can once more monitor my uploads.
This may be in part due to the creator of bittorrent's new arrangments to distribute legal content (speculation) and certain program features being shelved are a concession to media companies.
