I just got the 700p and wanted to use AvantGo with it as I did with my 650.

So sorry to inform you, but the 5.7 version available for download from AvantGo as an .sit or .zip file for Mac users does not work on the 700p. It simply freezes or crashes or both on the 700p. The new version is therefore a necessity.

Yet in their infinite widom, the new 6.0 version that works with the 700p is only available from AvantGo for Windoze users. It's delivered/downloaded as an .exe file.

Mac users are just SOL until Sybase gets off their collective butts and gives Mac users the exact same 6.0 software, just without the idiot wrapping of an .exe file that Windoze users need to get anything installed on that OS.

Why oh why can't software companies learn that Mac users should get stuff FIRST, not last. We tell other people and actually use the stuff.

C,mon Sybase, it can't be all that difficult to post the .sit or .zip of the damn .prc file so we can continue to enjoy the pleasures of AvantGo.
