Setting actions don't stick

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

After a year not using it I installed 1.6.4 on my Powermac G5 with 10.4.6 so i can use the PM for an iMovie project.
Alas, after adding iMovie HD to the list and configuring the actions, the settings just don't stick after waking from sleep or simply switching to/from another app. The usual was performed: repaired permission, tossed pref plists, different USB ports, reinstalled the driver..nothing.
An email as seen to Griffin's tech support

Try uninstalling the Powermate plist file and the prefpane.

Basically do a spotlight search.

Drag the Powermate plist file to the trash, then drag the PowerMate pref pane to the trash.

Next restart, so you can empty the trash since the pref pane will be in use when you initially drag it there.

In my experience most of the problems I saw with this Beta were because I never uninstalled my old software.

Also, the user guide that comes with the release notes, is pretty helpful, and there is a email address there for bug reporting. I Actually got a reply!
