AcidSearch is FANTASTIC! I can't live without it. The on ly trouble I had was that the default search engines were very US centric. I live in the UK so the search results were not always focused on the UK. I spent a lot of time building a UK collection of search engines for AcidSearch, the international ones are still there together with some really useful extra stuff like TinyURL, Wikipedia and many others. The collections can be downloaded here http://www.simty.homeftp.net/Site/The%20Mac%20Groove/BBD8A762-6093-4541-A602-CC77E0B38846_files/AcidSearch-UK%20Channels-1.zip

US-centric Search Engines? - snufkin

Acidsearch allows you to add any other searchable site, so I've added cRANKy, Dogpile and Hakia, plus HowThingsWork. Haven't sussed out how to search multiple sites concurrently, but I'll give it a crack.
