I would love to run SheepShaver. I have the app & the ROM imge and have read all the stuff I can find. But with my level of ignorance I still need a set of step-by-step instructions. Anyone know where I can find such a thing?Thursday, June 15 2006 @ 11:05 AM PDT

Sheepshaver-never heard of it.I was under the impression that PD (didnt it used to be called Parallels WORKSTATION)? would run ANY OS and not as an emulator, but as "native"(?)
At any rate this is all about RIVEN.
You cant really make it work in Classic, and besides-ive wiped ALL traces of Classic off my eMac-for more room and a little more zip.
I have 9.2 on another partition-the only way I can play it, cuz-there is no OS X version-a real SHAME. But Im about to wipe that and make my eMac a dedicated Tiger machine- I need the space.
Was hoping I could play the game (DVD) or else install OS 9 to make it work-sounds like not,
About a year from now, or whenever they release the 'Spring' de-bugged lineup-when the rev b, or rev c machines are out with the very latest Intel chips nside, and Leopard has been tweaked a few times, then Im getting a Mac mini.

You have misunderstood. Parallels will run any Intel OS natively. MacOS 9 is not an Intel native OS. It will not run it and never will.Thursday, June 15 2006 @ 06:45 PM PDT

No Mac OS 9 for now. Probably not ever. You can use Sheep Shaver if you need Classic on Intel Macs.
