IF you follow the registration process and are verified as a student, you'll get a one-year licence to use it! This you can renew if your studies go beyond a year.Friday, June 16 2006 @ 01:32 AM PDT

Student version only good for 30 days - chrise2--2008
It's actually good for a year, once you prove your student status. From the Graphisoft site:"To download the Archicad 10 student version, the only thing you need to do is to register to receive a personalized serial number. After the registration you will immediately receive an email with your a 30-day temporary serial number, and the Archicad 10 download link. This way you can start working with Archicad 10 immediately, and you will have 30 days to sign up for your final serial number. With this final serial number – after your student status is confirmed – you will be able to use Archicad 10 for a one-year period before re-registering."
