I may be wrong about this, but based on the information I could find on their website, this software interfaces with their website to provide access to your music and videos.

If it works the way they suggest, you only need an unusual port open on the Mac serving the media, but users actually access the music from a regular web page running on port 80. If this is the case and the music is streamed through port 80 to clients than there is a good reason for people to use this product.

Many companies, libraries, schools, etc. do not allow users to connect to alternate ports. If this streams the content from port 80 (through their servers) then it would be a big win.

Otherwise, you're right. This is a waste of money.

Hi I'm the main developer of this product.

I don't quite know how to respond to the "but xyz does this for free" comment. All I can say is that I've put a lot of hours into this and I'm not supported by VC funding. I'd like to be able to make enough on this to allow me to continue working on it....as I've got a lot of upcoming features planned.

Sigh.

Ok, I've decided to simply turn this into a labor of love. I'm dropping the price to *free*!

The bottom line is that I want people to use the software. I've had a lot of fun making it, but I want people to use it.
