This program really needs to return the user to the form they filled out, with labels next to the ones they filled out incorrectly. Having an error page simply list what they did wrong is almost useless. Until they work this out, don't bother with this.
Support on their forum is pretty slow coming too. And the help files need to be rewritten by someone who speaks English.

Poor support, bad validation - RTFM - mwwolfgram
I agree fully - the original poster really couldn't have tried FTG seriously, as it is an awsome tool. The PHP support has been evolving very well, although I do optimize the code afterward (I was a sw eng. in a previous life and am a bit anal about tight code). My workflow for everything from simple through complex mailto forms always includes FTG and I would be burning a lot of hours without it. The price is great... the usefulness is greater. This software is a must have for anyone creating contact even more complex web forms.
Read the manual -- never pretend you know what you're doing!

Just read these replies. Let me clarify. See my post on the developer's forum:http://www.bebosoft.com/support/forum/viewtopic.php?t=706&highlight=
Error handling is a big problem with formstogo, judging from the volume of posts asking questions about it. They cripple error handling in the trial version, so when you buy you don't realize it's insufficient, at leas in my case where I needed to validate dozens of form fields.

I am not sure how it worked in 2006, however, the custom message feature is very easily done. In the forums and I believe in the tutorials they tell you how to create custom error pages. The error pages I created not only displays the error message on my custom error page, but it also saves the data that the user previously input. In my opinion, it is a very flexible tool. You just sometimes have to do a little work to get things "perfect." No tool will do "everything" for you. I highly recommend you check out the Bebosoft forums. Qton is a very helpful and knowledgeable person that helps with "customizations" and with some custom coding. The only "negative" I have about it is that it does not have a feature for timezone differences (so you can set your timezone compared to the server's timestamp).
By the way, I am using the version for PHP.

guttyguppy, you can make the form return to the previous form with fields already filled out previously by the user anywhere you want to place the error message. You can place the error message right next to the wrong info field on either top, right, bottom or left.
Read the manual before you make a negative comments to be fair. Don't let your lack of knowledge suffer the rating of this software.
For the people who are reading reviews, this tells you never to take people's reviews, opinion and stories as 100% correct. Always try it for yourself if you really need that particular software.
For me, this software has been nothing but blessing for creating sophisticated web forms with great form validations. Their email support is sort of slow but they do have a good written manual. For $25, just one project will pay for itself many times over.
Try it for yourself and you decide.
