Paying to get a product to work is not acceptable

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: NO

I've used Chronos products for some time, and StickyBrain since its initial release. I've upgraded to SOHO Notes, and now version 5.05 - the latest version - tells me that it can't open my database unless I upgrade to the latest version. I am not prepared to pay tech support to explain why that is the case. I will simply downgrade until I find a version that works, export the data into another note manager that works more simply (and hogs less resources - Yojimbo?) and not bother with buggy products.

Paying to get a product to work is not acceptable - rfcee

Version 5.0.5 had numerous bugs, but the 5.1 beta sequence has been greatly improved, is readily available for download. Try it; you'll like it. As for no support — that is simply false. Apparently the writer hasn't bothered to use the SOHO forum. I have, since the buggy early versions, and have been impressed with the level of support Chronosnet has offered.

The fact is, they rushed Organizer and Notes to market before it was ready, have been playing catch-up since, and have come a long, long way. I've been using the betas for a couple months long, and overall I have been quite pleased. Indeed, I count on both Organizer and Notes heavily.

I had the exact same problem. Downgraded to 5.05 and it seemed OK. I tried the 5.5 upgrade and it just won't launch. I'm looking for the 5.05 installer again so I can get the frikn thing to work.

Any idea of where I might get it?
