My problem mailed to their support on their site. After having to complete a costless marketresearch, I send this message:
I have problems with upgrading the Adobe Reader.
I have installed v. 7.0.3 and downloaded the 7.0.8 patch. It would not install, because my version was not compatible (but did not say which one!). Downloaded the 7.0.7 patch which says the same as above. There is no information at all on your site to solve this problem. Do I have to download now the full new version?
Come on guys, I have a dial-up connection and sit there 5 hour to download that stuff (the 2 version more than 50MB) - and it does not work!
I am definitly not the only one with this problem.
Did you ever think in including an upgrade option in the Reader application who detects the version and leads to the right upgrade?
Have a nice day

Conclusion:
I wanted to work exclusivly on my website (Consulting - Real Estate) with Adobe Acobat, because there are lots of archive, forms and contract for download. I start thinking of putting them in MS Word for download, because I cannot submit my clients to such a ridicoulos, desrepecting proceedure.

It only updates from the very previous version. i.e. If you have installed v. 7.0.5, you have to install the 7.0.7 update first and then the 7.0.8 patch.Wednesday, August 16 2006 @ 12:03 PM PDT
