Product Platform: MacOS,MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

Did they even test this? Several pages don't show up in the Setup menu. Nearly all of the dropdown menus are screwed up. I have seen these same errors on FireFox for the Mac and PC. This is poor coding. This is NOT a Safari problem. I work for a company that has had similar problems with its web interfaces. The developers have always tried to blame Safari. In the end, the programers have found that the error was caused by poor programming on their part. Notice that not all dropdowns and navigation menus are broken.

The software functions OK, but the UI is really screwed up. I installed this version because I was hoping it would clear up the UI problems from the last version. Instead it got worse.

Good Grief - francine_20_4U

in response to the text below:

Web interfaces od linksys products are tested and securely manufactured just that there are times the products' version needs to be updated since some of those products are stored for a long time thus the version and functionality of the device will also weaken.

in the case where there are some problems with your web interface, all you have to do is update the software version number of the device.

if the "administration" tab is not shown, then you can try updating the version using the tftp file

you can go to www.linksys.com/downloads

then type in the "enter model number" this one --- BEFSR41--

you will see there the download for that device, pls choose upgrade utility, it's the tftp file..save it in your desktop

now going back to the "enter model number" , this time, type there the exact model number of your linksys device and one of it's downloads is the --- firmware- - save it in your desktop

now, on your desktop, double click the "BEFSR41"

it will show the username, the password and there will be three dots at the lower right hand corner of the new small box.

for your username, type there the one that use use to access the UI and it's password

then click on the three dots button below, and select the 2nd file you downloaded, its name will be the version number of your device.

then click upgrade.

please be guided that in upgrading the router's firmware, you should not interrupt the process or else your device will totally get busted.

hope it will help you.
