If you loved MacDraw this is the program for you. It is a fully up to date version using a lot of CoreImage techniques but with the feel of the old MacDraw. I tried but don't like the look and feel of EazyDraw which is another good 2-D drawing application capable of reading old MacDraw files. It just does not work the way I think which is not the case with Intaglio.

If you are looking for an easy to learn, fast 2D drawing application this is the one you need.

It is not as sophisticated as OmniGraffle which I used before and still use though but it has some features which I missed in OmniGraffle so much that I moved to Intaglio: Arcs and exact exports.

I use it for conceptual technical diagrams and to draw precise .png pictures to be used in a new GUI I am developing used for mobile devices. (Save Selection as ...)

You have to get used to drawing Bezier curves and to the fact that a copy of the object is done if you press the mouse button too long though. But then you are very fast.
