I needed Windows to run a few financial applications not available for the Mac. Tried to install Windows XP on the new iMac using Boot Camp - and no go on three tries. So I bailed and switched. Parallels Desktop beta 2.1 worked well the first time, and was up and running Windows apps at high speed within an hour. It did steal the IP address from other home computers on the wireless network, and disrupted host printer connections somehow. Hopefully these bugs will be worked out before the final release. Overall very positive experience.
