Recommend Product: NO

Until this programme can open .dwg files accurately, it cannot really replace a "commercial" application like TurboCAD.

Need to open .dwg files - pd.thomas

I used TurboCad when it was distributed by IMSI the originators of the program way back in 1990, all I can say is that then it was of comparable price to CADintosh but not at all easy to use, now it is much more expensive how good it is I don't know but one thing is for certain with Vectorworks now pushing the £1000 mark and AutoClunk sorry CAD being nearly 3 times that this has to be a bargain if you dont need 3d and rendering capabilities, and given that Apple has dumped Macdraw, Macpaint, and Superpaint is no longer available I am surprised that this is not more successful as there seems to be little else around, to the extent that several people I know now use Excel for simple drawings! I was about to bin my trusty Mac SE but given that it has several very usable drawing packages on it it has had yet another stay of execution!!!
