'If it aint broke-dont try to fix it'-but they went ahead anyway, and it came out a mess.
1.4.2 does all I need it to do as far as I can see-
MTR, DVD2one, and Toast-its all you need;
I get perfect copies 99% of the time-single or DL.
And $50 USD-??? $25 maybe (20 Euro) way over priced.
Does this do everything popcorn does?-ive never used it-though I guess it is now integrated into Toast.
When you consider that the REAL workhorse in the chain is MTR-and it is FREE. (v.3 may be $15-when it comes out)
I think some apps reach as stage where they can go no further, but they keep 'updating' them anyway.
The new interface was not well thought out-im no genius, but 1.4.2 was easy as pie to figure out- v.2 onwards made no sense. It didnt seem to do what I wanted it to do.
Fixing bugs of course, is required-no arguement there.
Im sure you can find 1.4.2 archived somewhere, as well as the means to use it.
Im glad I kept mine.

I agree totally. Version 2.0 has too much junk. Version 1.4 is the only way to go.Wednesday, December 06 2006 @ 01:28 PM PST

You couldn't have said it any better. I too tried to figure out v2 and got frustrated and went back to v1.4.2. The new version immediately felt like a whole new app, didn't look to familiar to its prior version.Almost a de-evolution. Simplicity is key, who cares about a prettier GUI.
