1. In the automation window, when executing items which have multiple parts in their normal tab (i.e., the internet cache has 7 checkboxes under cleaning, but only 1 box under automation), does automation execute tasks as if every box was checked, or does it execute based upon the boxes which are checked under the standard tab? In other words, if under cleaning, I have 'form values' UNchecked for internet cache cleaning, when I go to the automation tab, will those values be respected (the forms values will NOT be cleared)?

2. Shouldn't permissions repair run after the maintenance scripts, because sometimes, the scripts mess up certain permissions themselves?

3. How come resetting the spotlight index is missing from the reset list under automation?

4. How come force emtpying the trash and deleting temporary and obsolete items are not under automation?

5. If you're going to remove the execute all button from the maintenance and cleaning tabs, then you need to make sure that the automation tab is full and complete, with no missing options. Many of us like to be able to set our options and give our system a very deep clean and reset with the push of a single button, and we don't want to have to do this several times.

Questions for Developer - Titanium06

Hello,

1. In the automation window, when executing items which have multiple parts in their normal tab (i.e., the internet cache has 7 checkboxes under cleaning, but only 1 box under automation),

Please read the OnyX help...
-- This option deletes stored copies of Internet pages you've visited, temporary files you've downloaded, the recent searches and the history of pages you've viewed. --

2. Shouldn't permissions repair run after the maintenance scripts, because sometimes, the scripts mess up certain permissions themselves?

After running the scripts, OnyX repair the permissions (changed by the weekly script) of the secure.log file.

3. How come resetting the spotlight index is missing from the reset list under automation?

I will add that in the next version... ;-)

4. How come force emtpying the trash and deleting temporary and obsolete items are not under automation?

Deleting temporary and obsolete items will add also, but you can empty trash from Finder.

5. If you're going to remove the execute all button from the maintenance and cleaning tabs, then you need to make sure that the automation tab is full and complete, with no missing options. Many of us like to be able to set our options and give our system a very deep clean and reset with the push of a single button, and we don't want to have to do this several times

With old version of OnyX the options double. Now, you can run options individually (Maintain and Cleaning) or with one click (Automation) . It's more logic. Any options (repair permissions of Classic, empty trash) are not really indispensible in the Automation panel.

... and sorry for my explications, my english is really bad... ;-)
