I agree with others it is much easier and better to control in Energy saver System Preference panel.
Better yet buy a Bekin UPS insteall of APC and you get a free control application called Bulldog Plus which perform rings around APC's software.

I am running 10.4.8 and energy saver works fine with my APC Smart UPS. I found the log produced by Powerchute useful. Perhaps APC should separate the logging facility from the portion of Powerchute provided by energy saver.Saturday, December 02 2006 @ 12:01 PM PST
