Working on a new version which has an accelerator. The accelerator would increase the speed of the metronome as it plays. You might, for example, be practicing a phrase very slowly, and would like to, also very slowly, increase the speed of the metronome every, say, 36 or 48 bars. With the accelerator on, the speed would increase by the amount you set in Preferences after each number of bars set in the Accelerator section. You'll also be able to set an upper limit for the speed it reaches.
